    Exhaust Question...

Alright, here's the deal. I currently have a 2007 Cobalt LS and I only have a muffler on the stock piping. I am looking to get a full exhaust and have come across the Pacesetter that has 2.5" piping along with a 4" tip. Does anyone know what the cobalt sounds like with that setup. And also is Pacesetter a respectable brand to go with? Thanks in advance for your input

Personally i kinda like how the tusdo cat back exhaust sounds, its also pretty cheap. you can usually find a system for under $200 on ebay. Here is a link to a site that has them for sale:

I'm a little confused so pardon my lack of comprehension. You already have the muffler but are looking to get a cat back? or are you looking for a complete system from the header and all? If you like the way your muffler sounds now go with something that either you are a shop can fabricate up to the current muffler. The cats and muffler will dictate 90% of the sound so what header you go with will not make much difference in the sound department. The header is where you will gain or lose power though.

I don't have the pacesetter cat back,I just have the pacesetter header though, that made a difference with my car with a complete built exhaust system.Just having a cat back wont do a whole lot compared to having a SRI or CAI,header,new(2.5 max on 2.2s)downpipe,also you can get a 2.4 intake manifold for even bigger gains.

im not sure that that will sound like but a local guy (who occasionally frequents the site under sighn) is running a 2.2 with full bolts + tune, he is running pacesetter header with a 2.5 inch custom header back exhaust... he is running 2 Magnaflow resignators and a Magnaflow exhaust... the thing sounds great... quiet but noticable at an idle but sounds very muscular for a 4 banger at WOT... not ricey at all... I will text him and tell him to tell you more about his exact set up
