Well this past weekend I went to the Drag City event in Earlville IA to tune the 60's I put in the car and race against the finer machines in IA.

Started the day with a 14.3 sec run @ 101.76 mph. Seeing how I wasn't getting any knock on the high end I decided to increase the timing and lean it out just a bit.

After the 4th run I got the time down to 14.062@104.78. The weird thing was my 1/8 time for both runs were the same.

Ok guys and girls here is my problem and question for today. I have bought a couple led strips for the interior of my car and I want them to activate when the doors open like if they were my dome light. I need to know which wire to splice into. I am betting someone out there has already done this. If you could provide me a picture or a color of the wire and the location I would appreciate it. I have the car in pieces right now I am finishing up my two tone interior and I would love to hook these up as well. Thanks guys and girls. PS 2007 Coupe LS

hey, i'm always cap10h8red, so, yea it's me if you see me on other forums (and actually xboxlive i'm both cap10h8red and cap10h8red13) a lot of people can't see it but it says captain hatred... i thought it was kinda clever.
anyway, i bought a car cause i needed one, got whatever i could afford, found out the cobalt was an american tuner (cool) also found out the LSJ and LNF are the fun cobalts (lame), and my L61 by FAR kicks the most @$$.... IF i'm building a track car (the phase 5, and 600+HP drag racers are built with an aluminum L61 2.2l block) and that made me feel pretty stupid for getting a cobalt, that is until recently... the aftermarket has finally got some traction in the L61 world.

i want to upgrade (well almost everything) the suspension to at least the LNF FE5 setup on the turbo cobalts, i was also thinking coil-overs one day, and had a pipe dream of using thiese smaller coil-overs that mount upside-down to allow more space at the top of the suspension assembly without limiting the suspension travel, and then putting this really tiny airbag setup on top of that. (then i get smooth air-ride for the day-to-day, pancake 'em, and i got coilovers for performance)
i want rear discs too, i thought i HAD a cheap solution in the saturn ION rear disc conversion, but it turns out thats for the 4-lug set-up, i got 5-lugs, so that will need to wait longer, or cost more $$.
i want upgraded axles, thinkin stage 1 from zzp i want to make it sorta bomb-proof, and prep anything i can to handle over 400HP (forged valves/pistons ect, upgraded fuel injectors)
then get that Harrop TVS, i also want to try using a meth or a co2 cooling solution since we have 1 cooling system for both the engine AND trans, and i want to add a SC
obviously full exhaust i'm thinkin 3" all the way through (hi flow cat, headers) also PnP the head and maybe some new cams
then to make it pretty i'm lookin at converting the tails to the G5 (i have the coupe, and want the large seperated lights from the sedan) and i like the RKSport rear lip spoiler (i thinik i'll get a body guy to help me get the look i want with that though) and i like the pontiac hood, the one that looks like the G8

thats not all, but it's what i dream about while i'm working all day

i know, i know "i bought the wrong car" and all that BS, honestly as a computer tech i want to use this car to learn and understand more about mechanics, and it will still be an LT, and that means nicer INS. premiums. also i know this will be a LONG time coming

so i guess step 1 will be getting the GM service manual for this thing, i found it for like $140, then i'm going to start on the suspension.
